Old Pal can be found in Hyvinkää
(Southern Finland). Here in our home lives with me my
husband, our daughters and three Cairn Terriers, Melinda, Trombi and Dorrit. These girls have a
big role in our family and in our lives. In fact dogs are to me both a
hobby and a lifestyle. As someone wiser than me have once said: “Dogs
are not the whole life, but they certainly make life whole.”

As a little girl I cried and cried my parents to let me get my own dog. Long time went by and I did not get the permission, so I took care of our neighbours dogs. Finally my parents let me buy a dog so I spent my savings and Oskari came to me as a puppy, that was year 1995. Since then there have always been at least one terrier living with me. Old Pal´s breeding career is so far short and young. My first litter was born in July 2001 and prefix Old Pal was granted to me next January. The Dam of the three first litters is Leavenworth Dancing Melinda, a bitch I bought from Anja Puumala in spring 1999. I saw Melinda born and I took care of her since the very first moments, because at that time I was as a “kennelgirl” at Leavenworth. So that is my foundation... |

To me breeding means much more
than just having litters, that is why I am taking breeding seriously.
In my opinion breeder´s most important principles are openheartness,
honesty, taking responsibility and being there for owners. I always
aim to breed both mentally and physically healthy Cairns that fills
the standard. Puppies live here along with our own adult Cairns as a
part of our team and they are with us in everyday life. From the
bottom of my heart I wish all Old Pal Cairns to be loved members in
their families - those “Old Pals” in the word´s actual meaning.
